Police have registered a case against a man in Khanpur, Rahim Yar Khan district, over allegations of abusing government officials in a TikTok video. The case was filed after authorities reviewed the video and launched an investigation.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), the case was registered at City Police Station Khanpur on June 21, 2026. Police said the action followed the discovery of a video containing alleged abusive and derogatory remarks against government officials and state institutions.
The FIR states that a police team led by Assistant Sub-Inspector Muhammad Afzal noticed a group of people gathered at a hotel near Baldia Chowk. The group was reportedly watching a video on a mobile phone.
After examining the video, police alleged that it contained remarks abusing government officials and making derogatory comments about state institutions. Authorities said the content was linked to a TikTok account identified during the investigation.
Police identified the suspect as Huzoor Bakhsh, son of Muhammad Qasim and a resident of Bilal Colony in Khanpur. According to the FIR, he allegedly uploaded the video through his TikTok account.
Investigators said the mobile phone containing the video was taken into custody as evidence. A USB copy of the downloaded video has also been preserved to support the ongoing investigation.
Officials said the evidence will be examined as part of the legal process. Further inquiries are expected to determine the full circumstances surrounding the upload and distribution of the video.
The case has been registered under relevant provisions of Pakistani law. These include Section 124-A as well as Section 21 of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA), 2016.
Police have not announced any further arrests in connection with the case. However, officials confirmed that the investigation remains active.
Authorities said legal proceedings will continue according to the applicable laws. They added that all available evidence will be reviewed before further action is taken.
