The Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority (PERA) has announced 1,010 vacancies for the post of Sergeant (BS-07). The recruitment offers a valuable job opportunity for Intermediate-qualified candidates across Punjab.
According to the official announcement, interested applicants must submit their applications online through the Punjab Job Portal. The last date to apply is July 20, 2026.
The recruitment process will be conducted on a district-cadre basis. Selected candidates are expected to serve in their respective districts whenever possible. The position offers Basic Scale-07 (BS-07) along with a PERA Special Allowance. However, the authority stated that the special allowance will not be provided during the training period.
Lahore has received the highest share of vacancies with 300 posts. Rawalpindi follows with 150 openings. Bahawalpur, Multan, Faisalabad, and Gujranwala each have 90 vacancies. Sahiwal, Sargodha, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Gujrat have been allocated 50 posts each.
To qualify for the recruitment, candidates must have passed Intermediate from a recognized Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education. Applicants must also be between 18 and 26 years of age.
The advertisement clearly states that there will be no relaxation in age, education, or physical standards. This rule applies to all applicants, including current government employees. The Punjab Civil Servants Recruitment Rules for upper age relaxation will also not apply to these vacancies.
Male applicants must meet the required physical standards. They must have a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 27 or below. Their minimum height should be 173 centimeters without shoes. They must complete a one-mile run in seven minutes. Male candidates must also have a chest measurement of 32 inches unexpanded and at least 34 inches expanded, with a minimum two-inch expansion.
Female applicants must also have a BMI of 27 or below. They need a minimum height of 162 centimeters. They must complete a one-mile run within 11 minutes. Female candidates are not required to meet any chest measurement standard.
The PERA recruitment process will be completed through the Punjab Job Portal. Applicants must first create an account on the portal. They should then enter their Matric and Intermediate details to complete their educational profile. After that, they can submit the application along with the required documents.
