The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has announced a Power outage schedule for July 4 and 5, 2026. The temporary electricity suspension is part of planned maintenance and infrastructure upgrade work across different parts of Lahore.
According to LESCO, the shutdowns are necessary to carry out essential repairs safely. The company said the work is aimed at improving the reliability of the electricity network and reducing the chances of unexpected faults in the future.
The announced Power outage will affect different areas on a feeder-by-feeder basis. This means not all neighborhoods will experience electricity suspension at the same time. Instead, each feeder will follow a separate schedule released by the utility.
On July 4, several areas are expected to face electricity interruptions between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM. LESCO has also issued a separate feeder-wise schedule for July 5, allowing consumers to check the timing for their respective areas.
The company explained that planned maintenance is an important part of improving the overall electricity distribution system. Regular inspections and infrastructure upgrades help prevent equipment failures and improve service quality for consumers.
Officials said the temporary shutdowns are designed to make the electricity network more stable. They added that the maintenance work will reduce the risk of future technical faults and unplanned power interruptions.
LESCO has advised residents and businesses to review the detailed feeder schedule before making plans for the day. Consumers whose areas are included in the schedule should take the necessary precautions to reduce inconvenience during the maintenance period.
People who rely on electricity for business operations, medical equipment, or other essential activities have been encouraged to make alternative arrangements in advance. Charging electronic devices and preparing backup power sources can help minimize disruption during the scheduled outage.
The utility also requested public cooperation during the maintenance work. Officials said the temporary inconvenience is necessary to complete the repairs safely and improve long-term service reliability.
The latest Power outage schedule is part of LESCO’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the electricity infrastructure in Lahore. Planned maintenance allows engineers to repair ageing equipment, replace damaged components, and upgrade the distribution network where required.
Consumers are encouraged to stay updated through official LESCO announcements and verify whether their feeder is included in the published schedule. The company may issue further notices if any changes are made to the maintenance plan.
