Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has announced special instructions for candidates from Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) regarding MDCAT 2026 registration. The new arrangement aims to help students who were unable to complete the online registration process before the deadline.
According to the PMDC, eligible AJK candidates can now apply through a manual submission process. This temporary facility has been introduced to ensure that deserving students do not miss the opportunity to appear in the MDCAT 2026 examination due to registration issues.
The council stated that applicants must submit a hard copy of their application along with a bank draft of Rs13,000. These applications will be accepted at the PMDC office in Islamabad until July 23. Candidates have been advised to complete the process before the deadline, as late submissions may not be entertained.
PMDC said the decision was made to facilitate AJK students who could not successfully register online. The special arrangement provides another chance for eligible candidates to secure their place in the upcoming medical and dental college admission test.
Earlier, the council had released the complete schedule and registration policy for MDCAT 2026. According to the official announcement, the examination will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. across Pakistan and selected international test centers.
The online registration process started on June 22 and continued until July 8. Candidates who failed to register during the regular period were allowed to apply with a late fee until July 13.
The registration fee for candidates appearing in Pakistan has been set at Rs9,000. Those registering during the late period are required to pay Rs13,000. For students taking the examination at international test centers, the registration fee has been fixed at Rs45,000.
PMDC has also clarified that all registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Candidates have been advised to carefully review all eligibility requirements and complete their applications correctly before submitting them.
The council has assigned different institutions to conduct the examination in various regions of the country. Sukkur IBA University will oversee the examination process in Sindh, while the University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore will conduct the test in Punjab.
Khyber Medical University (KMU) Peshawar has been assigned responsibility for organizing the examination in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In Balochistan, Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences Quetta will conduct the test for candidates.
For students appearing in Islamabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Riyadh, the examination will be organized by Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU).
PMDC has encouraged all applicants to follow the official instructions carefully and complete every required step within the given deadlines. The council emphasized that timely submission of applications is essential to avoid any issues before the examination.
