Pakistan vs England ODI Series Schedule Announced

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the schedule for Pakistan’s five-match ODI Series against England in 2027. The tour will be played from May 15 to May 26 and will serve as an important preparation for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2027.

The ODI Series will take place just a few months before the World Cup, which is scheduled to be held in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia from October 4 to November 21, 2027. Both teams are expected to use the series to test combinations and prepare their strongest squads for the global tournament.

The tour will begin with the first match in Southampton on May 15. The second ODI will be played in Manchester on May 19, followed by the third match in Leeds on May 21. The fourth fixture is scheduled for Chester-le-Street on May 23, while the fifth and final match will be held in Cardiff on May 26.

The five-match contest is expected to provide valuable match practice for both teams. Pakistan currently hold fifth place in the ICC Men’s ODI Team Rankings, while England are ranked seventh. The series will allow both sides to assess player form and improve team balance before the World Cup.

Pakistan have a busy international calendar before the England tour. The national side is currently playing a two-match Test series against the West Indies. After that, Pakistan will return to England for a three-match Test series, which is scheduled from August 19 to September 13.

The upcoming white-ball series will mark Pakistan’s return to England for One-Day Internationals after several years. The last ODI Series between the two teams in England took place in 2021.

During that tour, England won all three matches to complete a 3-0 series victory. Despite Pakistan’s defeat, former captain Babar Azam delivered outstanding performances with the bat. He finished as the highest run-scorer of the series with 177 runs, including an impressive 158-run innings in the third ODI.

England and Pakistan have built a long-standing rivalry in One-Day International cricket. The two teams have played 91 ODIs against each other so far.

England have won 56 of those matches, while Pakistan have recorded 32 victories. Three matches ended without a result or finished in a tie.
