Meta to Train 1,000 Pakistani SMEs in AI, Digital Business and Online Marketing

Meta has announced a new initiative to train 1,000 Pakistani small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in digital business, artificial intelligence (AI), and online marketing. The training will be delivered through the company’s Small Business Growth Academy, aiming to help local businesses improve their digital skills and compete in the growing online economy.

The nationwide program will run from August to November 2026. It will be implemented by AtomCamp and will be offered free of cost to all selected participants. The initiative is expected to provide practical knowledge that can help businesses strengthen their online presence and make better use of digital technologies.

The announcement was welcomed by Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan, who described the initiative as an important step toward supporting Pakistan’s small business sector. He emphasized the importance of digital transformation and said that equipping entrepreneurs with modern skills can help improve business growth and increase economic opportunities.

According to the plan, Meta will provide training in key areas such as digital business management, AI-powered business tools, and online marketing strategies. Participants will learn how to use digital platforms more effectively, reach new customers, and improve their overall business performance through technology.

The program also aims to encourage SMEs to adopt artificial intelligence solutions that can simplify daily operations, improve customer engagement, and support better decision-making. By introducing businesses to these technologies, the academy hopes to help entrepreneurs remain competitive in an increasingly digital marketplace.

During a meeting with Meta representatives, Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan also invited the company to play a broader role in Pakistan’s digital economy. He encouraged the technology company to continue supporting innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital skill development across the country.

The minister noted that small and medium-sized enterprises play a vital role in Pakistan’s economy. Strengthening their digital capabilities can increase productivity, create new business opportunities, and expand access to local and international markets.

The collaboration with AtomCamp will ensure that the training is available to participants from different parts of Pakistan. The nationwide approach is expected to make the program accessible to entrepreneurs from various industries and regions.

As digital technologies continue to shape global commerce, initiatives like this can help local businesses adapt to changing market demands. Better digital skills and knowledge of AI tools may enable Pakistani SMEs to improve efficiency, attract more customers, and build stronger brands online.
