Islamabad Police Dismiss 11 Officials for Dereliction of High-Security Duty

The Islamabad Police have taken strict departmental action against 11 personnel, including two officers, for dereliction of duty. Senior authorities ordered their immediate dismissal from service following a detailed internal inquiry.

Official departmental documents confirm that the dismissed personnel were absent from highly sensitive operational duties. Authorities officially classified this absence as an act of severe criminal negligence. The decision underscores zero tolerance for security lapses within the force.

The personnel removed from service included Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) Abid Hussain and Waqar Ahmed. Several constables were also among the dismissed staff, including Ghulam Murtaza, Khurram Shahzad, Muhammad Shahzad Aslam, and Muhammad Irfan.

According to police sources, all 11 personnel had been deployed to critical locations across the federal capital. Their presence was vital for maintaining public safety and executing security protocols. However, the officials failed to report to their assigned posts during active deployment hours.

Departmental leadership noted that abandoning assigned posts during sensitive operations creates major security vulnerabilities. By absenting themselves without authorization, the personnel committed serious misconduct. Consequently, high-ranking officials finalized the dismissal orders to enforce discipline across the rank and file.
