PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has announced that he will address a public rally in Bagh district of Azad Jammu and Kashmir on August 10 following the recent AJK elections.
In a video message released on Monday, Bilawal greeted the people of Kashmir and asked Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) workers and supporters to prepare for the upcoming gathering. He said he would first visit Poonch before addressing the public meeting in Bagh.
During the message, Bilawal praised the resilience of Kashmiris and thanked party workers for their efforts during the election campaign. He also alleged that the recent AJK elections were not conducted fairly and claimed that PPP workers faced intimidation and violence during the campaign. These allegations have been made by Bilawal and were presented as part of his political statement.
Bilawal further claimed that PPP secured nine seats despite what he described as irregularities during the election process. He also said the party would continue to pursue what it considers its rightful mandate in constituencies including Mirpur and Muzaffarabad.
The PPP chairman appealed to supporters to back party candidates Bazil Naqvi and Javed Ayub in the remaining electoral contest scheduled for August 4 in Muzaffarabad.
Looking ahead, Bilawal said the party would continue its political campaign in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. He encouraged supporters to remain active and attend the August 10 public rally in Bagh.
