HAFIZABAD – Police raided a kite-making factory in Hafizabad. The operation took place within the limits of the city police station.
Officers recovered more than 10,000 ready-made kites during the raid. Police also seized a large quantity of kite-making equipment. The materials were found at the same location.
Four suspects were arrested during the operation. They were allegedly involved in making kites illegally.
Legal action has been initiated against all four suspects. Police confirmed the case is moving forward.
The Hafizabad DPO addressed the raid afterward. He said a zero-tolerance policy is in place. This applies to both kite-making and kite-flying.
The DPO added that action will be strict. He said authorities will target anyone endangering public safety. This includes those involved in the kite trade.
Kite-flying remains banned in many parts of Pakistan. The activity is linked to serious injuries and deaths. Sharp strings used for kite-flying often cause harm.
