Jazz, You Are a Scam”: Senior Bureaucrat Calls Out 5G Service Over Speed Issues

Jazz, You Are a Scam” Senior Bureaucrat Calls Out 5G Service Over Speed Issues

Jazz has faced criticism on social media following complaints about slow mobile internet speeds in Pakistan.

Senior bureaucrat Kausar Khan publicly criticized the telecom operator while responding to a company post on X. Khan described the operator’s 5G service as a “scam.” He also complained about extremely slow download speeds.

His comments prompted other social media users to share their experiences with the mobile network. Some users claimed they pay for 4G packages but struggle to receive reliable service.

These claims are based on individual user experiences and have not been independently verified.

Users Raise Concerns About Network Quality

The discussion expanded beyond mobile internet speeds as more users raised concerns about network performance. One user alleged that calls from Jazz numbers sometimes connect only after several attempts.

Another complained about rising mobile package and call charges despite concerns about service quality. Several users also questioned how effectively customer complaints are handled by telecom regulators.

Some claimed they had repeatedly contacted the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority without receiving satisfactory results.

However, these claims represent user allegations and have not been independently verified.

Jazz Market Share Shows Slight Decline

The criticism comes as competition continues across Pakistan’s telecommunications market. According to PTA data cited in the discussion, Jazz held a 36.09% market share in July 2026.

That represented a slight decline from 36.25% recorded in June 2026.

Meanwhile, Zong’s market share reportedly increased from 26.72% to 26.83%. Ufone also recorded an increase, moving from 14.81% to 14.97% during the same period.

These figures indicate relatively small monthly changes in Pakistan’s competitive mobile market.

PTA Complaint Data Highlights Customer Concerns

PTA complaint figures for March 2026 also provide insight into customer concerns.

According to the cited figures, Jazz received 1,892 complaints during the month.

This was reportedly the highest number among Pakistan’s mobile network operators. However, the data also showed that 1,822 complaints were resolved.

That represented a reported complaint resolution rate of 96.3%. The figures suggest that complaint volume and resolution performance remain important measures of customer experience.

As competition increases, network quality could become increasingly important for Pakistan’s telecom operators. Customers continue to demand reliable internet speeds, stable calls and competitive pricing.
