The judicial commission investigating the murder of Mir Raza Ali has summoned seven key witnesses. They have been directed to appear before the panel on September 3.
The commission issued summons to two senior police officials. They include the SDPO Shahrah-e-Faisal and the SHO Ferozabad.
Both officers have been asked to appear before the commission. They will record their statements as part of the ongoing investigation.
An online taxi driver named Ehsan has also received a summons. His statement is expected to assist the commission in examining the case.
The panel has further called two business associates of Mir Raza Ali. They are identified as Muhammad Ahmed and Abdullah Bharde.
Two of Mir Raza Ali’s friends have also been summoned. They are Razzaq and Haseem.
Together, these seven key witnesses will appear before the judicial commission on September 3. Their statements could provide further information about the circumstances surrounding the case.
Earlier Testimonies Before the Commission
The commission has already recorded statements from several people. Family members of Mir Raza Ali appeared before the panel earlier.
Edhi volunteers also provided testimony during the proceedings. The commission is headed by Sindh High Court Justice Omar Sial.
The panel is examining different aspects of the ongoing murder investigation. It is also looking into events surrounding Mir Raza Ali’s disappearance.
During an earlier hearing, the commission questioned his father, Mir Hussain. He was asked when the family first discovered that his son was missing.
Mir Hussain told the commission that his wife could better explain the circumstances. His wife later appeared before the panel and provided additional information.
Mother Describes Early Morning Call
Mir Raza Ali’s mother told the commission about a phone call she received. She said the call came from his friend Haitham at around 4:14am.
According to her statement, Haitham informed her that Mir Raza had deleted his social media accounts. She also said his fiancée contacted her around the same period.
His fiancée reportedly told the family that Mir Raza was not responding to her messages. The family then checked his room after becoming concerned.
His keys and most of his belongings were still inside the room. However, Mir Raza was not present at the house.
His friends later arrived at the residence. Razzaq, Shehry and Kazim reportedly joined the search for him.
The judicial commission is continuing to gather statements from people connected to the case. The appearance of the seven key witnesses may provide further details.
The panel will review their statements alongside earlier testimonies. The proceedings are expected to help establish a clearer account of the events.
