Chery Master Pakistan is preparing to expand its electric vehicle lineup with the launch of the all-electric Chery Q.
The new EV will make its Pakistan debut at the Pakistan Auto Show (PAPS) 2026. The event is scheduled for September 18.
The company plans to announce the official price during the auto show. Bookings for the electric vehicle will also open at the event.
Chery is positioning the vehicle as an urban-focused EV. It targets buyers seeking a practical car for daily commuting and city travel.
Chery Q Offers Up to 400 KM Claimed Range
The Chery Q comes with a 42.7 kWh battery. It offers a claimed driving range of up to 400 kilometres.
This range is measured under the NEDC testing cycle. The company also claims efficiency of up to 9.4 kilometres per unit.
The electric vehicle measures 4,195 mm in length. It has a 2,700 mm wheelbase, providing a compact footprint with relatively spacious interiors.
The technology package includes Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. According to the company, the system offers 21 driver assistance features.
Automatic Parking Assist is also included. Other features include a 15.6-inch 2.5K display and mobile connectivity.
Vehicle-to-Load functionality is another notable feature. It allows the vehicle’s battery to supply electricity to compatible external devices.
Chery Targets Pakistan’s Growing EV Market
The launch comes as Pakistan’s new-energy vehicle market continues to expand.
Figures shared by the company show the NEV segment grew 392% during FY2025-26. It now represents around 15% of the country’s overall automobile market.
Chery is also linking electric mobility with Pakistan’s expanding rooftop solar sector.
The company estimates a petrol car covering 20,000 kilometres annually could consume around Rs488,000 in fuel.
By comparison, the annual energy cost of the Chery Q could be around Rs30,000 in certain circumstances.
This estimate assumes real-world efficiency of about 7.2 kilometres per unit. It also assumes households use surplus solar electricity for charging.
Actual operating costs can vary depending on electricity rates, driving habits, charging sources, and other factors.
Solar Growth Could Support EV Adoption
Pakistan imported around 17 GW of solar photovoltaic capacity during 2024, according to figures cited by the company.
This expansion has created more opportunities for households to use self-generated electricity for electric vehicle charging.
The Chery Q will further expand Chery Master Pakistan’s new-energy vehicle portfolio.
Globally, Chery operates across more than 130 countries and serves over 20 million customers.
In Pakistan, the automaker works in partnership with Master Group. The company says it established 15 3S dealerships in less than 10 months.
