MDCAT 2026 examination was held across Pakistan on Sunday, September 20, 2026.

Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences (BUMHS), Quetta, conducted the examination for candidates from Balochistan.

A total of 9,923 candidates registered for the Balochistan test.

This included 9,777 candidates who registered during the initial period. Another 146 applicants registered after the process reopened.

The examination was originally scheduled for August 16. However, it was later postponed on the Prime Minister’s directions.

An additional examination centre was also established in Islamabad for candidates holding Balochistan domicile.

Who Conducts MDCAT in Balochistan?

MDCAT 2026 Paper Pattern

The examination consists of 180 multiple-choice questions carrying a total of 180 marks. Candidates receive three hours to complete the paper. There is no negative marking.

The paper contains 81 Biology questions and 45 Chemistry questions. It also includes 36 Physics questions, nine English questions and nine Logical Reasoning questions.

Each province receives its own paper. At least two versions are prepared for each province. According to the provided details, PMDC developed a question bank containing around 8,000 questions.

Around 80 subject experts were involved in developing the question bank.
