Several government Schools in Islamabad remained closed on Monday amid heightened security measures across the federal capital.

Authorities took the precautionary step due to concerns about possible protests and demonstrations in the city. School administrations informed parents about the closures.

According to available details, police personnel were expected to remain deployed at schools in Sector G-7 and Sitara Market. A government school located in F-7/3 was also closed.

The closures came as authorities strengthened security arrangements in different parts of Islamabad.
