Some reports said the Qatar Airways flight landed in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

However, Sialkot Airport said those claims were incorrect. According to the spokesperson, the confusion was linked to flight-tracking data.

FlightRadar24 reportedly showed the aircraft at the wrong location.

Khan attributed this to a technical issue and inaccurate GPS information. He said the aircraft did not land in Jammu.

The spokesperson also said the actual landing could be verified through official radar systems. These systems are operated by the Pakistan Airports Authority.

Airport flight information also supports the official version of events.

Qatar Airways flight QR630 from Doha was listed as landed at 2:08 am. The arrival was recorded at Sialkot on September 27.

The return service, QR631, was scheduled from Sialkot to Doha. Officials said the aircraft completed its operation without the reported emergency landing.

The viral claim gained attention after aviation-related posts began circulating online.

Some of those reports relied on public flight-tracking information. However, Sialkot Airport issued a direct denial after the story spread.

The incident also highlights possible limitations in public tracking platforms.

GPS disruptions or technical errors can sometimes affect displayed aircraft positions.

Public flight-tracking services can be useful for general information. However, official airport and air traffic-control radar systems are used for operational confirmation.

In this case, airport authorities maintained that the Qatar Airways aircraft landed in Sialkot.

They also said it later returned to Doha according to its planned schedule. No emergency landing in Jammu took place, according to the airport’s clarification.

The airport has therefore urged reliance on verified operational information when such reports emerge.
