Rawalpindi, October 8, 2026: Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital marked World Sight Day 2026 by organising an awareness walk to highlight the importance of eye health and encourage people to take greater care of their vision.

The walk was organised under the global theme “Love Your Eyes” and was attended by senior management, Heads of Departments, ophthalmologists, optometrists, students, allied paramedics and other staff members of Al-Shifa Trust.

The participants carried awareness messages and walked to underline the importance of regular eye examinations, timely treatment and preventive eye care. The activity also aimed to create greater public awareness about avoidable blindness and the need to make quality eye-care services accessible to all.

Speaking on the occasion, the management of Al-Shifa Trust acknowledged the dedication of its doctors, allied paramedics, staff members and students, whose continued efforts are instrumental in preserving and restoring the gift of sight.
