The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has given its approval to Jinnah Stadium in Islamabad as the designated venue for an upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers match.
Pakistan is set to face Cambodia in the first round, with matches scheduled for October 12 in Cambodia and October 17 in Pakistan.

This marks the first time in 12 years that Pakistan will host an international match, reflecting a significant moment for the nation’s football enthusiasts. The AFC had recently conducted a thorough inspection of Jinnah Stadium, expressing satisfaction with the preparations and facilities.
The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has also announced the squad for these crucial Qualifiers and appointed a new fitness coach, Claudio Altieri, to prepare the national team for the upcoming matches.
Additionally, the PFF appointed English professional football coach Stephen Constantine as the head coach of the national team last month.
