Federal Minister of Commerce Dr. Gohar Ejaz conducted a series of productive meetings with prominent Chinese business leaders and investment groups during the 3rd Belt and Road Forum in Beijing. The meetings were aimed at strengthening economic ties between Pakistan and China and exploring investment opportunities in Pakistan.
Discussions with China-Pakistan (Qingdao) International Cooperation Hub Director Wang Zihai focused on investment opportunities in Pakistan, including civilian and defense equipment, lithium batteries for electric vehicles, solar panels, and semiconductors, with an emphasis on the Special Investment Facilitation Council’s role in facilitating investments.

In a meeting with Eman Logistics Chairperson Li Yiman, the focus was on expanding Pakistan’s presence on Chinese digital platforms, and discussions with leading Chinese agri-producer Wellhope President Jin Weidong highlighted opportunities in Pakistan’s agricultural, poultry, and meat sectors.
The minister expressed support for Eman Logistics’ plans to launch “Pakistan National Pavilion” display centers in China, emphasizing the potential for a mutually beneficial partnership with Wellhope’s expertise in smart farming and meat processing
