Former PM Abbasi Temporarily Blocked from Traveling Abroad

Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi encountered a brief disruption in his travel plans when he was initially prevented from flying abroad due to his name being on the no-fly list. However, after clearance, he was allowed to continue with his travel to China.

The incident occurred when Abbasi and his wife arrived at Islamabad Airport to catch a flight to China (CZ 6008). During immigration clearance, he was informed that his name was on the stop list based on orders from a Sindh court.

This news initially halted his travel plans, leading him to return from the airport lounge. However, he was later assured that the matter would be resolved, allowing him to proceed with his journey.

When questioned about the incident, Abbasi denied any disruption and stated that he had already departed for China. There was no response from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) immigration authorities when contacted for comment.
