Actor and host Mohib Mirza, known for his powerful performance in the drama serial “Razia,” has received the Best Actor award for his role as Saleem at the Drama Icon Awards 2023. Mohib shared his joy on Instagram, posting pictures with the accolade and his co-stars. “Razia” was honored with a total of eight awards at the event. Mohib expressed gratitude for the acknowledgment and praised the judges and jury, including Marina Khan, Maria Wasri, Rubina Ashraf, Nadia Khan, and Mukarram Kaleem.
In his post, Mohib thanked co-stars Mahira Khan and expressed a heartfelt note for Momal Sheikh, who couldn’t attend the event. He credited Momal’s performance for completing the character of Saleem. Apart from Mohib’s Best Actor win, “Razia” also secured awards for Best Director and Best Miniseries.
Earlier in October, Mohib had shared a glimpse from the show, emphasizing the importance of challenging societal norms. Playing the character Saleem, he highlighted the need for awareness and change in existing systems, advocating for equal opportunities, especially in education. Mohib expressed gratitude to the show’s team, recognizing the contributions of individuals such as Mo Ali Shah, Hina Amaan, and Kamran Afridi, as well as the production team at Express Entertainment.
