PTI Founder Imran Khan Arrested In GHQ Assault Case

Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former prime minister, currently incarcerated in Adiala Jail for multiple cases, has been arrested in the GHQ attack case related to the violent protests on May 9. An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Rawalpindi summoned Khan for this case, along with two other cases involving arson at a metro station and incitement of violence on the same day.

Khan, already in custody, attended the court proceedings through video link due to security concerns. The RA Bazar police station officials requested physical remand for Khan in the May 9 cases, but the ATC judge, Malik Aijaz Asif, declined the request and instructed the police to conduct the interrogation in jail.
