Burzil Pass, blanketed with snow, is now available to transportation

The Pakistan Army reportedly opened the snow-covered Burzil Pass to motorists on Sunday.

Similar to when there have been natural disasters or mishaps, the armed forces have mobilised to help the country.

Burzil Pass, which is 178 kilometres from Gilgit, is a crucial checkpoint for the Pakistan Army and the local populace.

The pass, which is 13,808 feet above sea level, is always covered in snow from October through April.

It connects the regionโ€™s 15,000 residents and 61 communities with the only route. Every year, between 50,000 and 60,000 automobiles travel via Burzil Pass.

This year, the pass was closed in January and February due to the heavy snowfall. This March, the snow-covered Burzil Pass has been opened to the public by the Pakistan Army.

The soldiers worked tirelessly, day and night, to clear the snow. They continued their work even in the extremely cold weather of -30 degrees Celsius to make the opening of the pass possible.

Residents of the area thanked the Pakistan Army for their hard work in this initiative and appreciated their unforgettable effort.
