Renowned Pakistani actor Imran Abbas, known for his memorable guest appearance in Karan Johar’s 2016 film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, is marking his return to cross-border collaboration after eight years. Abbas is set to make his Punjabi film debut in Jee Ve Sohneya Jee, alongside Indian actor Simi Chahal.
The film’s official trailer, released on January 25, has generated considerable excitement. Written and directed by Thaparr, Jee Ve Sohneya Jee unfolds a poignant love story between a Pakistani boy, portrayed by Abbas, and an Indian girl, played by Chahal. The on-screen chemistry between the lead actors has garnered praise, and the film promises to be a heartfelt exploration of love transcending geographical borders.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the project, Abbas took to Instagram with a heartfelt post. In the caption, he shared his sentiments about the film, stating,
“JEE VE SOHNEYA JEE holds great significance for me. It is more than just a movie. It is a sincere effort to bring two Punjabs and their people even closer: It is a gift from me and my team to all those who believe in the power of love that transcends all boundaries. Concluding his note, the Ehraam-e-Junoon actor urged fans and followers to support the film’s release. “I urge you to watch Jee Ve Sohneya Jee on February 16 and support not only love and peace but also the filmmakers who are advocating for this beautiful cause,” Abbas wrote.
Apart from Abbas and Chahal, the film features a stellar ensemble cast, including Mintu Kapa, Udaya Vakati, Brian Shaw, Aman Bal, and Swaraj Sandhu. Jee Ve Sohneya Jee is scheduled to hit the big screen on February 16.
