Rawalpindi Election Day Security: 12,500 Cops to be Deployed

The Rawalpindi police have completed all the necessary preparations for the upcoming general elections.

Rawalpindi Regional Police Officer (RPO) Syed Khurram Ali shared that over 12,500 police personnel, along with more than 4,000 officials from other law enforcement agencies, are ready to carry out election duties. The deployment is aimed at ensuring a secure and smooth electoral process.

To facilitate the elections, a total of 5,490 polling stations have been established in 13 constituencies for the National Assembly and 26 constituencies for the Provincial Assembly across the region. RPO Ali highlighted the establishment of control rooms in all districts, along with a central control room in the regional office, to efficiently manage and monitor the electoral proceedings. These measures are indicative of the authorities’ commitment to maintaining a secure and well-organized electoral environment.
