Gold price plummets by a whopping Rs. 6,200 per tola in Pakistan

KARACHI – Gold prices in Pakistan’s domestic market experienced a significant decline on Thursday, reflecting falling international prices. According to data from the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold per tola decreased by Rs6,200, settling at Rs242,000. Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold dropped by Rs5,315, reaching Rs207,476 in the local market.

Internationally, gold prices also fell, with the commodity’s price plunging by $62 to $2,355 per ounce. This marks the third consecutive session of losses for gold, attributed to a waning interest from investors. Previously, the per tola gold price had dropped by Rs300 to close at Rs248,200. Concurrently, the price for 10-gram gold fell by Rs236, ending at Rs212,791 in the local market.
