The USA pulled off a historic upset in the T20 World Cup by defeating Pakistan in a thrilling Super Over match in Texas.
Both teams scored 159 runs in their 20 overs at Grand Prairie Stadium, with co-hosts and debutants USA tying Pakistan’s total by scoring 14 runs in the final over.

In the Super Over, the USA set a challenging target of 18 runs amid Pakistan’s erratic bowling and fielding. Pakistan could only manage 13 runs, giving the USA a memorable five-run victory.
Having already defeated Canada in their Group A opener by seven wickets, the USA now has a strong chance of advancing to the Super 8 round.
Pakistan struggled early in the match, falling to 26-3 due to several errors.
