Former Pakistani cricketer Shahid Khan Afridi faced criticism online over a photo with Zionist members. Amid contrasting statements and outrage, Afridi denied any support for the Zionist movement after Friends of Israel (FOI) posted a picture of him with two men in the UK.
One man held a flyer about Israeli children allegedly kidnapped by Hamas.

Friends of Israel claimed Afridi supported them, but Afridi expressed disbelief at the backlash and urged people not to trust everything online. He explained on social media that he was simply taking a selfie with what he thought were fans in Manchester, and the photo was shared with misleading captions.
He lamented the suffering of innocent lives in Palestine and clarified that the photo does not reflect any support for actions endangering lives.
