Confusion is widespread due to a lack of official statements from the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), and cellular mobile operators (CMOs) have reported no formal complaints.

Over the weekend, WhatsApp users faced difficulties uploading media files using mobile data, although voice messages and video files were successfully sent and received through broadband.
