Islamabad Court Approves 3-day Physical Remand for Raoof Hassan and Nine Others

On Thursday, Islamabad District and Sessions Court Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Shabbir Bhatti issued a reserved verdict on the FIA’s request, granting a three-day physical remand for PTI spokesperson Raoof Hassan and nine other individuals arrested by the FIA.

Magistrate Bhatti also reviewed the bail applications, where the FIA prosecutor argued that the women involved were hired specifically for the campaign against state institutions.

Bail was granted to two women arrested from the PTI Secretariat, with their release contingent upon a Rs 50,000 surety bond. The prosecutor contended that granting bail could impact the ongoing case, as these women were employed in the media cell.

Defense lawyer Ali Bukhari challenged the prosecutor’s claims and requested to see the files related to Farhat and Iqra. Ultimately, the court granted bail to the two women from the PTI Secretariat upon the submission of a Rs 50,000 bond.
