Bilal Khan, the Omani fast bowler, has broken Shaheen Afridi’s record for the quickest 100 wickets in One Day Internationals (ODIs).
Khan set this new record during an ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 game between Oman and Namibia. The 37-year-old, originally from Peshawar, achieved his 100th ODI wicket in just 49 matches.

In the match against Namibia, Khan excelled by taking 3 wickets for 50 runs in his 10-over spell, pushing his total to 101 ODI wickets and surpassing Afridi’s previous record.
Shaheen Afridi had set the record in the 2023 World Cup, reaching 100 ODI wickets in 51 matches. The fastest overall record for 100 ODI wickets is held by Nepalese spinner Sandeep Lamichhane, who reached it in just 42 matches.
