Top golfers are focusing on the upcoming Paris Olympics, the third since golf was reinstated. Here are three key points ahead of the Olympic golf tournaments:

  1. Schauffele, confident from his recent major wins, aims for a second consecutive gold medal starting August 1. He overcame significant competition to secure victories in both the USPGA Championship and the British Open this year.
  2. Korda, who had an exceptional start to 2024 with six LPGA titles, including the Chevron Championship, struggled with form mid-season but hopes to rebound in Paris. The women’s competition begins August 7.
  3. Although golf’s return to the Olympics in 2016 used the traditional 72-hole strokeplay format, there is ongoing debate about incorporating team events. Korda expressed interest in adding a team component to make the format more unique.
