Renowned writer and poet Khalilur Rehman Qamar has approached the FIA’s Cyber Crime Cell after explicit videos of him went viral.
The situation began when Qamar was lured to a woman’s home under the pretense of discussing a new drama project. There, armed men assaulted him, and he was only released after paying a substantial ransom.

In his complaint, Qamar reported that the gang blackmailed and extorted him for a large sum of money, filming obscene videos and leaking them when he refused to pay more.
He claimed the videos severely damaged his reputation. Additionally, Qamar filed a kidnapping case at Sundar Police Station in Lahore on July 21.
Amna Urooj and 11 others are in custody, with the alleged mastermind, Hassan Shah, arrested in Peshawar. The leaked videos show Qamar and the gang, including one of their meetings.
