North Korea has condemned Ukraine’s incursion into Russia, labeling it an unforgivable act of terror supported by Washington and the West, and affirmed its unwavering support for Russia’s efforts to protect its sovereignty, according to state media on Sunday.
The KCNA news agency stated that Ukraine’s offensive in Russia is a result of the United States’ anti-Russia policy, which is pushing global tensions toward the brink of World War Three. The report also highlighted that the U.S. has provided “astronomical” amounts of lethal weapons to Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.

North Korea’s foreign ministry issued a statement, as reported by KCNA, strongly condemning the armed attack on Russian territory by what it described as the “Zelenskiy puppet regime” under the control and support of the U.S. and the West, calling it an act of aggression and terror.
Over the past year, North Korea has significantly strengthened its ties with Russia, with their leaders holding two summit meetings and pledging closer cooperation in various areas. In June, Kim Jong Un and Vladimir Putin signed a “comprehensive strategic partnership” pact in Pyongyang, which included a mutual defense agreement. Despite allegations from South Korea, Ukraine, and the U.S. that North Korea has supplied artillery and missiles to Russia for its war in Ukraine, both North Korea and Russia have denied these claims.
