A significant heist, the largest in Islamabad in a decade, took place at a private bank in Shehzad Town, where robbers stole Rs30 million.
The daylight robbery involved armed assailants who attacked the bank as cash was being transferred.

The robbers, arriving in an Alto car, opened fire as the cash collection vehicle was in transit. One security guard, Suleiman, was killed instantly, and another guard, Tariq, sustained severe injuries and was hospitalized.
Police confirmed this as the biggest bank robbery in Islamabad over the past ten years. Islamabad Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has ordered the creation of special investigation teams led by DIG Syed Ali Raza, including the SSP Operations and SP Organised Crime Unit, to swiftly capture the suspects.
