The outfield at the stadium is heavily waterlogged, though the pitch remains well-covered. Once the rain subsides, a roller will be used to prepare the pitch.
This match is critical for Pakistan, as they need a win to avoid losing the series after suffering a 10-wicket defeat in the first Test at the same venue last week.
Pakistan announced a 12-man squad for the Test, with Shaheen Afridi being dropped, while Mir Hamza and Abrar Ahmed were included.
Pakistan’s squad for the second Test:
Shan Masood (c), Saud Shakeel (vc), Abrar Ahmed, Mohammad Ali, Salman Ali Agha, Saim Ayub, Babar Azam, Mir Hamza, Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Abdullah Shafique, Naseem Shah, Khurram Shehzad.
