Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan has clarified his plans for dividing his estate in a recent interview, which has gained renewed interest amid ongoing speculation about his family’s affairs. Originally conducted in 2011, the interview details Bachchan’s intention to distribute his assets equally between his children, Shweta Bachchan Nanda and Abhishek Bachchan.
Bachchan stated firmly that he and his wife, Jaya Bachchan, decided long ago not to favor one child over the other. He emphasized that he views both Shweta and Abhishek as deserving equal shares of his estate, countering traditional views that often favor sons over daughters in inheritance matters.

Highlighting his commitment to fairness, Bachchan had previously gifted his daughter Shweta the family bungalow ‘Jalsa,’ valued at around 50 crore rupees. This gesture further demonstrates his dedication to treating his children equally.
