The federal government has announced a public holiday on Tuesday, September 17, to celebrate Eid Miladun Nabi.
An official notification from the Cabinet Division indicates that this day will allow people across the country to observe the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Consequently, all government, semi-government, and private offices, as well as banks, schools, and colleges, will be closed on this date.
On September 4, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, announced that the moon for the Islamic month of Rabiul Awwal was not visible anywhere in Pakistan. Consequently, Rabiul Awwal will begin on September 6.
In a media statement, Maulana Azad confirmed this decision after extensive consultations and reports from across the country. He also noted that Eid Miladun Nabi, marking the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), will be observed on September 17.
This announcement followed a detailed review of crescent sighting reports by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Ministry of Religious Affairs, Ministry of Science and Technology, and other relevant authorities.
