The petitioner criticized the national team’s poor performance in the recent T20 World Cup, including a loss to the relatively inexperienced American team, and expressed frustration over the use of public funds.
The petition demands that the court reveal details of the expenses incurred during the team’s overseas tours, including salaries and benefits of officials, and calls for an end to cricketers and officials bringing their families on such tours.
The case reflects growing concerns about resource allocation and accountability within the national cricket team following recent setbacks.
