SCO Summit 2024: Pakistan Hosts High-Level Meeting to Address Regional Cooperation

Islamabad played host to the SCO Summit 2024 on October 15-16, gathering top representatives from member and observer states to discuss key regional issues. The summit, chaired by Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, emphasized cooperation in trade, security, and cultural exchange among participating nations.

India’s External Affairs Minister, Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, delivered a prominent speech advocating for “good neighbourliness” and mutual respect, reinforcing India’s vision within the SCO framework.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also addressed the escalating conflict in Gaza, calling for immediate international efforts towards peace and the establishment of a Palestinian state.
