Pakistan opted for significant changes to their lineup, fielding a spin-heavy attack with Aamer Jamal being the sole pacer. Sajid dominated the first innings, claiming 7 wickets, while Noman took the remaining wickets.

On Day 4, the situation flipped, with Noman leading the charge in Multan. Sajid made a crucial breakthrough by dismissing the formidable Ollie Pope in the second over. This achievement marks the best figures by a left-arm spinner from Pakistan in Test history.
With this feat, Noman and Sajid became the seventh pair to claim all 20 wickets in a Test match. The last duo to achieve this was Bob Massie and Denis Lillee against England at Lord’s in 1972, where Massie took 16 wickets, and Lillee claimed 4.
