Sindh Government Launches Double-Decker Buses in Karachi

The Sindh government has revealed plans to roll out double-decker buses on the roads of Karachi, with procurement efforts currently in progress, as announced by Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon.

During a key meeting that included officials such as Director Soheb Shafiq and People’s Bus Service Manager Abdul Shakoor, it was decided that 50 new buses will be acquired for the People’s Bus Service.

Memon instructed the Mass Transit Authority and other relevant departments to hasten the procurement process, emphasizing the government’s commitment to enhancing Karachi’s public transport system.

“We are dedicated to modernizing public transport in Karachi. This initiative will greatly improve urban transportation, offering citizens affordable and comfortable travel,” Memon stated, highlighting the urgency of meeting the city’s escalating transportation demands.

He also called for the swift completion of bus stations for the People’s Bus Service.
