Pakistan has announced an unchanged playing XI for the third and final Test against England, set to begin on October 24 in Rawalpindi. This decision follows Pakistan’s impressive 152-run victory in the second Test, which leveled the series at 1-1.
The selected squad features key players such as captain Shan Masood, wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan, and vice-captain Saud Shakeel, with an emphasis on their strong spin attack. Spinners Nauman Ali and Sajid Khan were instrumental in dismantling the English batting order during the second Test.
In preparation for the match, the Pakistan team management has instructed curators to prepare a pitch similar to that of Multan, which favored spin bowling. To create a conducive environment for spinners, the pitch will be adjusted using pedestal fans and heaters.
The series has been tightly contested, with England winning the first Test by an innings and 47 runs, followed by Pakistan’s emphatic response in the second match. The upcoming Test will serve as the series decider.
