Mathira Connects National Progress to Increase in Immorality

Model and actress Mathira has voiced her concerns about the increasing immorality in Pakistani society, noting that the country has become “extremely advanced” in troubling ways. During a recent podcast appearance, she highlighted that the youth are increasingly engaging in improper relationships, which she believes are contributing to various social issues and undermining the moral fabric of society.

Mathira criticized the current state of marriage in Pakistan, describing it as often resembling a business deal. She pointed out that many parents prioritize financial status and social standing over meaningful values when arranging marriages, which she feels has detracted from the essence of these unions.

In a previous morning show, Mathira discussed motherhood and the dynamics of navigating difficult relationships within families. She encouraged maintaining family connections while also addressing issues directly, stating, “Distancing yourself from your family is impossible.” She emphasized the importance of providing constructive feedback, saying, “I will never say break off your bond with your mother, but do show her the mirror whenever she is wrong.”

Mathira advocated for non-confrontational methods to resolve conflicts, suggesting that solutions can be found without raising one’s voice. If that fails, she advised creating emotional boundaries and not taking things too seriously. She also noted that children raised in toxic environments may develop unhealthy relationships in adulthood, driven by a desire to please.

Additionally, Mathira addressed generational trauma, stating, “A happier generation must emerge from a damaged one.” She urged parents to be understanding rather than placing blame, particularly when it comes to children facing learning difficulties, advising, “Do not call them dumb. Do not blame them.”
