The Gaza Health Ministry has issued a heartfelt appeal to the world for assistance in providing shrouds for the deceased, as a severe shortage has forced the use of blankets for burials. An official stated, “We call on the world, which failed to provide protection, to make an effort to send shrouds for our fallen.”
The region has endured an intense Israeli military assault for 18 days, resulting in the deaths of at least 700 civilians. Officials have indicated that the immediate need has shifted from food and water to shrouds for the deceased, as communications and supply lines have been severed since October 1.
