Australia Tour Is Mohammad Amir Set to Join the Squad

Left-arm pacer Mohammad Amir will not be part of Pakistan’s ODI squad for the upcoming white-ball series against Australia in November, according to credible sources. Despite speculation about his potential return to the 50-over format and reports suggesting that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had contacted the 32-year-old about his availability, it has now been confirmed that Amir will not be included.

Instead, Pakistan is expected to field a strong bowling lineup featuring Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf, and Mohammad Hasnain. Amir, who last played an ODI for Pakistan in 2019 against Sri Lanka, has primarily focused on T20 leagues around the world. His recent participation in the T20 World Cup led to renewed speculation regarding his involvement in significant series, including the one against Australia.
