Bushra Bibi, the wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, broke down in tears during a court hearing in Islamabad, expressing her sorrow over what she described as the “unjust sentencing” of both herself and her incarcerated husband.
She appeared before District Magistrate Afzal Majoka to seek bail for Khan in six cases and for herself in another case filed at various police stations. “For the past nine months, I have been facing injustice from those who are supposed to uphold justice,” Bushra Bibi stated, emphasizing her frustration with the legal process.

During her emotional address, she lamented the lack of justice and claimed that her legal representation was merely prolonging the process without offering real help. She questioned the humanity of the judges, asking, “Isn’t the person inside [the prison] a human?” Bushra Bibi expressed her dissatisfaction with the court system, stating that she would not return, as it offered no justice.
While she was released from jail last month after obtaining bail in a new Toshakhana case from the Islamabad High Court, Khan remains in Rawalpindi’s Adiala prison. Both deny the allegations against them, which stem from a conviction involving the retention and sale of state gifts during Khan’s time in power.
