Pakistani actress Naeema Butt, known for her role as Rubab in Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum, recently shared how a single morning altered the course of her life. Before her acting career took off, Naeema was set to follow in her mother’s footsteps and become a doctor. However, a fateful decision changed everything.
In a candid conversation on Mazaq Raat, Naeema revealed that she had been pursuing a medical career, having completed her FSC in medical studies. She explained that her mother, a doctor herself, had hoped she would join the medical profession. But on the morning of her MBBS exam, something shifted. “I didn’t feel like waking up that day,” Naeema said, adding that it wasn’t just about being lazy—it was a realization that had been growing over time. That moment marked her decision to switch paths and pursue mass communication instead.

Naeema emphasized that such decisions are not made lightly or quickly. “A decision isn’t always made because of one thing, there’s always a build-up,” she explained. According to her, while it might seem like a split-second choice, our subconscious mind is often steering us toward it long before it becomes apparent.
The actress also touched on the concept of love at first sight, explaining that even in matters of love, the feeling comes from subconscious preferences developed over time. “Whatever I had in mind since childhood for what someone should be, is what I will end up loving at first sight,” she said.
