Sharjah Book Fair Hosts Pakistani Artists and Authors

The Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) is underway, drawing millions of visitors and featuring artists, writers, and performers from across the globe, including a prominent representation from Pakistan. Since its opening on November 6, Pakistani authors, poets, and artists like Rumana Husain and Hamza Ali Abbasi have graced the event, engaging audiences with discussions and book signings.

Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammed Al Qasimi, this year’s SIBF hosts over 2,500 exhibitors from 112 countries, showcasing 1.3 million titles. With topics ranging from Islamic history to modern science, the fair has attracted notable speakers like Peter Frankopan, author of The Earth Transformed, who join discussions on literature, culture, and pressing issues like sustainability. Running until November 17, the fair offers 1,200 activities, including book signings by 400 authors, bringing literature to life for attendees.
