Final Supermoon of 2024 Visible Tonight in Pakistan

Supermoon

Tonight, Pakistan will witness the final supermoon of 2024, known as the Beaver Moon. This spectacular celestial event occurs when the full moon reaches its closest point to Earth, known as perigee, making it nearly 14% larger and 30% brighter than an average full moon.

The Beaver Moon will peak at 2:58 AM PST on November 16, but the best time to view it will be just after sunset on November 15, when the moon rises around 20 to 30 minutes after the sun. During this time, the moon will appear especially large and bright due to the “moon illusion” effect.

In addition to the supermoon, the Pleiades star cluster, or Seven Sisters, will also be visible near the moon, adding to the beauty of the night sky. Four planetsβ€”Mercury, Venus, Saturn, and Jupiterβ€”will also be visible, making for a truly magical stargazing experience.
