The tournament, set for February-March 2025, faces financial risks if India withdraws, with potential losses of $500 million for the ICC and $100 million for the BCCI due to missed India-Pakistan clashes.

Former PCB chairman Najam Sethi criticized the ICC for allegedly succumbing to BCCI’s influence, suggesting government-level Indo-Pak discussions as a solution.
